WELCOME TO WAMPLER PILATES

WHAT IS PILATES?

Pilates, originally called Contrology, is named after its creator, Mr. Joseph Hubertus Pilates. Pilates exercises focus on developing strong abdominal, back, butt and deep postural muscles to support the skeletal system and act as what Mr. Pilates called the “powerhouse” of the body. Pilates works to strengthen the center, lengthen the spine, increase body awareness, build muscle tone and gain flexibilty. Pilates is also an excellent way to rehab the body from back, knee, hip, shoulder and repetitive stress injuries. Pilates works the entire body as a whole, correcting the asymmetries and chronic weakness to prevent re-injury and bring the body back into balance.

Breathing is the first act of life and the last. Our very life depends on it. Since we cannot live without breathing it is tragically deplorable to contemplate the millions and millions who have never mastered the art of correct breathing.
